About the Physiotherapist
David completed his physiotherapy degree at Curtin University in 1992 and his Master of Manipulative / Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2003. He has published research in a peer reviewed journal and, with co-authors, was awarded Curtin University’s vice chancellor’s prize for the most outstanding research project. David has been a clinical supervisor of the University Postgraduate Masters students for 13 years, and presents to GPs and GP registrars as part of the Western Australian GP Education and Training Program. He has worked in private practice since 1993, including 10 years at a multidisciplinary sports medicine centre. He has provided physiotherapy services to local, state and international sporting events. Prior to studying physiotherapy, David played tennis on the European circuit.
David’s special interest area is in the assessment and treatment of chronic / recurring pain and headaches / migraines. This is a challenging, but rewarding area as a very thorough and multi-factorial approach must be implemented, including social and lifestyle factors. David keeps up to date with the latest research, so he uses advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic methods to assist your recovery.
